Union Plus    Deadline: Jan. 31, 2020 Plus Scholarship

  • Awards from $500 to $4,000 to one-time winners for undergraduate study beginning in the fall of the same year.
  • May use for four year community college, technical college or trade school.

Texas AFT:  AFL-CIO Scholarship  Deadline Jan. 31, 2020

Open to members or children of members of local unions affiliated with the Texas AFL-CIO.  Texas AFL-CIO awards more than 30 $1,000 scholarships.  Applicants must be high school seniors enrolling in a university, college, or technical institute in the summer or fall term.  Click on this link for the 2020 Texas AFL-CIO Scholarship: http://www.texasaflcio.org.

Horace Mann Scholarships    Deadline: March 1, 2020

Urban, Suburban, or Rural districts for English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language, Fine Arts, Math, Technology / Media Centers.
Awards 35 scholarships totaling $30,000 to K- 12 educators from around the country.
  • (1) $5,000 scholarship payable over four years.
  • (15 $1,000 scholarships payable over two years.
  • (20) $500 one-time scholarships.

Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership Program: March 15, 2020
